Innovator Japan Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) handles personal information in planning and development of Web services, production of websites tailored to computers and mobile terminals and other operations.
The Company will acquire personal information in an appropriate manner in consideration of its business details and size, handle it to the extent necessary to fulfill the purposes of use and never use it in excess of the purposes of use specified prior to acquisition. In addition, the Company will not offer any personal information to third parties without the approval of the owner of the information. For this purpose, the Company will formulate different operation procedures to check the operation and to carry out internal audits.
With respect to implementation of its personal information protection management system, the Company will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and ordinances concerning the handling of personal information, the guidelines associated with the Act mentioned above and other guidelines stipulated by the national government and other norms.
To ensure the unfailing prevention of loss, destruction, falsification or leakage of any personal information, the Company will implement access control at its offices and security management of its information systems, give education to employees and introduce security measures at an appropriate and reasonable level in an effort to protect personal information.
In the event of outsourcing any operation involving the handling of personal information to contractors, the Company shall limit such contractors to those with their security level confirmed in accordance with the Company’s security standards for the protection of personal information.
In the event that any incident involving personal information occurs, the Company will take swift action to contain the damage and resolve the situation. In addition, the Company is prepared to analyze the causes of the incident to identify and resolve issues and to implement measures to prevent a recurrence.
The Company has set up a Privacy Inquiry Desk as a contact for complaints, inquiries and other matters on the handling of personal information to ensure a response without delay.
In response to changes in social circumstances and the advancement of information technologies and in consideration of its own business environment, the Company will regularly check and review the details and the status of operation of the personal information protection management system to improve it.
The Company hereby declares that it will protect personal information in accordance with the policy set out above.
Innovator Japan Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) has set forth the following provisions concerning the handling of users’ personal information in the services provided by the Company, as follows.
As provided for by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, personal information shall mean information about a living individual which can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, point of contact or other information contained in such information.
In the services provided by the Company, it may acquire users’ personal information such as name, address, date of birth, email address and credit card information.
The Company will collect/use personal information for the following purposes:
If the Company receives a request from a user for the disclosure of his or her personal information, it will respond to such request without delay. However, if any of the following items applies as a result of such disclosure, the Company may choose not to disclose all or part of the personal information and if the Company determines not to disclose the personal information, it will notify the individual in question of same without delay. The Company will charge a requesting individual a handling fee of 1,000 yen per request for the disclosure of personal information:
If the Company is requested by a user to suspend the use of or delete his or her personal information (hereinafter, “the suspension of use, etc.”) by reason of the personal information being used outside the scope of the purposes of use or by reason of the information having been obtained by dishonest means, the Company will carry out the necessary investigation without delay and, based on the result, will implement the suspension of use, etc., and notify the user in question of same. However, in the case where the suspension of use, etc. of the personal information may lead to significant cost burdens and in other cases where it is difficult to implement the suspension of use, etc., if there is a measure available to protect the rights and interests of the user in question, the Company will take said alternative measure.
